The Journal of African Community and Development (JACAD) is committed to publishing disciplinary and interdisciplinary articles from a broad thematic and chronological range surrounding community development in precolonial, colonial, and post-colonial Africa. It welcomes manuscripts on environment, language, politics, literature, music, religion, gender, sports, colonialism, decolonization, natural resources, nation-building, the Cold War, globalization, conflict, regionalism, immigration, security, governance, democratization, and civil societies. JACAD provides a platform for established and emerging Africanists to understand better and appreciate Africa’s diversity, complexities, richness, challenges, and promise.
